How to Get to Hermit Village in Elden Ring
There are couple of ways to get to Hermit’s Village. The easiest way is to find half of the Dectus Grand Elevator medallion and choose a safe route to the city. If you haven’t activated the Dectus Grand Elevator, you’ll need to take the second route to Hermit Village, which includes a boss fight.
To get to Hermit Village, return to Altus Plateau from Place of Grace in Seawater or Catacombs in Wyndham. If you open the map of Mount Gelmir, you can see the canyons surrounding the volcanic area from the east and north. Follow the canyon north and west to see Fort Lyedd and Grace Place just outside the canyon entrance. Continue west and then south to find the Magma Wyrm boss fight.
The Road to the Hermit’s Village
There are several ways to get to Mount Gelmir. To get to Hermit Village, follow the road that starts at the ruins of Wyndham, west of the Altus Plateau.
Starts at Erdtree Gasing Hill, a place of grace, and heads to the ruins of Wyndham. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a marine who can summon a giant skull.
Arrive at Hermit Village
After defeating the boss, continue on and you will find Primal Mage Azur near the Place of Grace. After completing Enchantress Selene’s quest, return here to find a set of glowing azure stones in place of the corpse of Azur, the Primal Mage.
All spells and beliefs require a visit to Hermit Village. Because you can get memory stones, wizard armor and one of the best, if not the best, in the game. After completing this walkthrough, you will quickly reach the Hermit’s Village.
How Do You Get to the West Side of Mt. Gelmir
Go to Little Airdtree, turn west, cross the bridge with Shadow Castle and go down to the right. Continue along this path and eventually you will reach the Rope Bridge, the Bridge of Injustice on the other side of the Place of Grace.

Fort Laiedd
