New Cyberpunk 2077 Game Adds Johnny Silverhand Expansion
The creators of Cyberpunk 2077 – The Tabletop Game, Get On Board Games, shared the news of the Johnny Silverhand expansion in the latest update on Gamefound, discussing the project’s progress so far. The game has already amassed over $3 million in funding, with new stretch goals being added in recent days as the total continues to rise. However, today’s update focused on the expansion.
A detailed video was also shared by Get On Board Games, showcasing the Johnny Silverhand Expansion in a nine-minute presentation. Since the Cyberpunk 2077 tabletop game is officially licensed and based on CD Projekt Red’s video game, the expansion features the exact Keanu Reeves-played version of Johnny Silverhand that appeared in Cyberpunk 2077.
“We talked about it yesterday, and today we’re excited to present the Johnny Silverhand Expansion add-on,” Get On Board Games announced. “It’s a special expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 – The Tabletop Game, featuring: Four new playable characters (yes, Johnny is among them, and he’s not just an engram!), a unique crew of eight enemies, two high-octane missions where adrenaline surpasses all limits with thrilling new mechanics, and a set of truly iconic gear that every good edgerunner should have in their collection!”
The Johnny Silverhand Expansion includes four new characters (Johnny, Kerry, Rogue, and Spider Murphy) and two missions, but the characters can also be used in the main campaign of Cyberpunk 2077 – The Tabletop Game. However, the Johnny Silverhand Expansion is not a stretch goal; it’s considered an add-on, so there’s no current pledge level that will get you this expansion for free. Instead, it will cost $59 and must be selected as an add-on when making your pledge selections.
With the Johnny Silverhand Expansion now revealed, questions have arisen about what other additional content might be in the works for the game. Given the success of Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners animated series, many are hoping that it will be the next add-on, though Get On Board Games has not announced anything beyond this first expansion.
